Alice Versions is designed with beginners in mind. The user interface is unpolished and simplistic. The three-tab menu system acts as a search tool and shows the time and date when the document was last modified. When the user clicks on the file, it opens it in Microsoft Word and compares it with the original. Unlike many other software tools, this program automatically detects Office documents and allows users to save and restore modified versions. The software also offers version backups and a fast search.
The Alice Versions interface is unpolished and simplistic. The only option to search is to click on the "Find" button at the top right-hand corner. There are no filters to help you narrow down your results, but it works as a search tool. When searching for files, the program automatically recognizes Office documents and displays the dates of last modification and path. It can display all changes made to a file by right-clicking on it.
